Thetatron isn't a bigger language model.
It's built like a brain: separate brain organs for memory, sleep and deciding what to say, coordinated by a prefrontal executive and modeled on mammalian neurobiology.
Learns without forgetting
It learns on the job with its own learning rule, no backpropagation. It read 8,952 new research abstracts on one consumer graphics card and lost almost none of its general skill. The same learning without our method lost 28%.
Never slows down
Its time per word stays the same from a page to a long report, and it kept the original model's quality. On long conversations it's faster than the original.
Honest when unsure
It says what it knows and what it doesn't. It chose to use 25% more of what people told it, with no increase in false statements.
Good for its LLM cousins too
The continual learning methods in Thetatron also support Thetatron's LLM AI cousins: existing, frozen large language models can keep learning too. Retrieval add-ons are such a drag. AI teams: ask about licensing.
